Informal Cooking

Needle Arts

Paper Crafts
CHAIR: MELISSA MATUSEVICH
Enjoy the satisfaction of creating cards and more under the direction of a skilled paper crafter. Meets at Church on Main 1:00-3:00 on these dates: December 12, January 16, February 13, March 13, April 10.
Participants must register in advance and pay a materials fee.
Trivia

Join together to form a team and compete in local trivia competitions including
622 NORTH - DAY/TIME: Thursdays at 8:00; reservations advised; food available; no charge to play; group prizes: $50.00 for 1st place; $30.00 for second place; $15 for third place.
2. EASTERN DIVIDE BREWING - DAY/TIME: Every other Wednesday 7:00 - 9:00; food available; no charge to play; no prizes. No reservations required, but should be able to get a table if we arrive 45 minutes or so in advance.
3. IRON TREE BREWING (Christiansburg) - DAY/TIME: Every other Tuesday 7:00; usually have a food truck on site. Need to arrive an hour ahead - they fill up quickly.

Women and Wine

Meets 2nd Wednesdays 5:00 PM -7:00 PM. Members learn from the professional staff at the venue how to match wine and menu selections. The fee includes a wine flight, dishes prepared by the venue’s chef, and the tip. Open to all members of the VTWC. Yoga

Meets Mondays at 5:00-6:00 PM at Church on Main upstairs in Rm. 213
Contact the chair if you are interested in joining. You must complete a registration process. Participants are encouraged to donate $10-$15/session. A percentage of the donations is donated to the scholarship. Contact Chairs

OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES
Canoeing and Whitewater
CHAIRS: VALERIE DYMOND, GOLDIE TERREL
First Wednesday at 9:00 AM
The group spends the day on the river starting the first Wednesday in April and running through to the last Wednesday in October. We canoe during most weather and whitewater experience is preferred. Canoes and equipment are not required. A nominal fee is collected each week to defray the cost of gas for the drivers. In February, the group goes south for a five-day trip on the beautiful rivers of FL, GA, and SC. Space is limited. Contact Chairs
Gardening
The Garden Club members enjoy a recent trip to Roanoke for the 90th Historic Garden Tour.
CHAIR: CAROL TRUTT
We will be visiting local gardens such as the Hahn, Blacksburg Community Gardens, Price House, Christiansburg Museum, Happy Hollow Gardens Park, Mill Mountain Wildflower Garden. Trips to local gardening centers, such as Third Day Nursery, Crow's Nest, Poor Boy's Produce will take place in the spring. Trips will also include lunch at nearby restaurants. Contact Chair
